Getting BlogPodium ready!
Categories: Events - Tags: blogpodium, conference, fashion, polyvore, shopping, what to wearAs some of you know, this Saturday Kes & I are attending BlogPodium, a conference for Canadian design and lifestyle bloggers where we’ll get to meet & network with 250 professionals, & fellow house obsessed bloggers like ourselves! This will be our first blogger conference so I’m incredibly nervous excited!
My twitter feed this week has been all a buzz with talk of ‘what to wear’ so I thought I’d share how we’ll be expressing our blogger style this weekend.
With any conference, there is always the potential to make important connections, so it goes without saying that I want to look professional, yet still be comfortable & feel like myself. So of course the jump off point for my outfit was the gorgeous Cole Haan Chelsea Pumps I scored on sale a few weeks ago. I mean – you just can’t go wrong rocking killer heels when they have the comfort of a Nike AIR sole built in! I paired them with a matching cobalt tote I picked up at Winners (similar to the one pictured), and a bold patterned scarf from Smart Set featuring the same pop of cobalt blue. The blazer, cami & cropped pant – also from Smart Set – make a comfortably neutral base to ground the whole look.
For Kes (yes guys can be fashion conscious too) his look is modern, well-dressed and comfortable. Dark jeans from American Eagle, paired with a classic gingham dress shirt create the base; all layered under a stylish Mexx cardigan. And of course his cross body bag from Mexx (which Kash affectionately refers to as ‘Daddy’s man purse’) makes the perfect accessory to hold all the cards, pamphlets, & swag we’ll inevitably be taking home!
