I’m baaaaack! Did you miss me?? No?? Boo…well I missed you guys anyway. 😉

I know things have been pretty quiet around here since my ill fated GO train trip a few weeks ago. Sorry about that. If you follow us on twitter or facebook you’ll know that I opted to have surgery to avoid spending the summer with my club hand speed up my recovery time. Of course that means a future in hand modelling is officially off the table, but I am on the mend.

So my hand is still a bit swollen & discoloured. It’s also a little stiff and I’m still in some pain, but within a week of my surgery I was able to use a mouse. Now after a second week I am even back to typing with both hands (albeit still a tad slower than before) woo hoo! S/O to Dr. Narini for being so awesome – and for not leaving me horribly disfigured.

Bottom line, much like the house, my hand is getting there. Slowly.

Speaking of the house, I do have lots to update you on so I’ll try to get back into the swing of things and get caught up over the next little while.

Bye for now…

Hey…see that?? That’s me waving with my right hand! Awesome right?! 😉

Hooray for quicker recover times! The scar isn’t even that bad, and of course it will fade even more over time.

I found your blog after googling 4th metacarpal break. I broke mine June 9. Surgery June 28. Still in splint from surgery. Back to ortho on Thursday. Your blog is intriguing and I’m excited to keep reading! Happy healing! – Jen
