It’s been a little while since we’ve blogged and we’ve got lots to update you on – we promise we’ll get back to it next week. Today though, we wanted to take a special minute to share some exciting news!

It’s award season and everywhere you turn there’s talk of statues & red carpets. Between the Golden Globes, Grammys & Oscars, this time of year is always filled with celebrations of the entertainment world’s best and brightest.

Well the blog world is no different. Every year, Apartment Therapy surveys the blogosphere to find the most notable home design & home cooking blogs for the The Homies. The Homies isn’t a competition as much as its about celebration and discovery. It’s about sharing your favorites, checking out the ones you don’t know and being inspired.

This year for the fifth annual Homies, we’ve been nominated in the Best Home Design & Inspiration Blog category!

When we started this blog we really didn’t think anyone outside of maybe our Moms would even care to follow it. To have a small group of facebook fans & followers and now having our blog even listed among some of our favourites, is just plain awesome!
