The day we pretended to be on HGTV: Our PARA Blog Crew Submission [Video]
This is going to be embarrassing…
When we attended BlogPodium a few weeks back, one of the announcements we were pretty excited about was that PARA Paints was launching the search for their 2014 Para Blog Crew. We knew instantly that we wanted to apply because we thought it’d be fun to shoot the submission video – that AND we do have an ENTIRE house to paint, so figured we’d have no shortage of content to blog about should we be chosen.
So we got to talking and brainstorming a few ideas while we were on vacation, and spent some time this weekend putting it all together.
Let me just prefix it by saying this is clear evidence that we watch WAAAAAAY too much HGTV! We weren’t sure going in how we’d be able to explain all of the projects we have in mind given that we don’t yet have any walls, but as you’ll see, Kes was able to figure out a solution. 😉
We had a lot of fun making the video & channeling our inner HGTV hosts, lol! I have to say Kes did an amazing job editing it all together – just please try not to laugh at all my fidgety arm flailing & cracky voice…
Ugh – does anyone enjoy watching themselves on video??

I love your video! I think you both did an excellent job explaining the colour choices and editing the effects to help the viewer visualize the interior. Doesn’t hurt that the camera loves you guys too! 😉 #yougetmyvote lol
LOL! Thanks Aleah – yea without walls it makes it hard to imagine things. I’m really happy with how Kes’ illustrations turned out though – they even helped US visualize!
